Acetal dentures

Prosthetics

Acetal dentures are an alternative to metal skeletal dentures. Acetal is a durable, strong, thermoplastic, slightly flexible, completely non-allergenic type of synthetic material. Due to its properties, it became possible to make a prosthesis with a similar minimum mass and extent in the mouth as a metal alloy denture.

The denture plate is very limited so that taste buds are exposed.

The advantage of the acetal denture is that the retention clamps are aesthetic, tooth-colored, making them practically invisible. The support here is also periodontal, i.e. physiological, so the gums do not feel pressure.

Due to the acetal flexibility, this type of denture is recommended rather for interdental deficiencies.

The low weight and small size of the acetal denture make it possible to quickly adapt the patient to this supplement.
