Micro dentures

Prosthetics

A micro denture or "Etruscan" is an acrylic prosthesis with minimal denture plate reach, reproducing the absence of one or two teeth.

This is the most economical solution, applicable in the case of minor deficiencies, belonging to the so-called "mobile" restorations, but with significant disadvantages.

"Etruscan" is held in place by means of one or two clamps placed on the abutment teeth (adjacent to the gap). The short range of the denture plate causes its reduced stabilization, which is the main disadvantage of this solution.

Micro-prostheses are most often used as a temporary solution until a permanent restoration is made, i.e. a bridge or implant, but it can also be a target restoration.
