Preparation for implantation

Implants

Implants

Before carrying out the implantation, a thorough interview is conducted, based on which the existence of diseases that are a contraindication to the surgery is excluded. These include: cancer, coagulation disorders, decompensated diabetes, osteoporosis. Contraindication is also advanced periodontitis and pregnancy. In doubtful situations it is necessary to perform laboratory tests: blood or densitometry.

We perform oral examination, analyzing missing teeth, but also the shape of alveolar processes and occlusal conditions.

An additional, but fundamental test is the analysis of 3D tomography, on the basis of which we can see the structure of the bones in the jaw in three dimensions, we can analyze bone atrophy, inflammatory changes, the course of the inferior alveolar nerve, the system of maxillary sinuses and many other key parameters important for maintaining the future implant. We also plan the length and diameter of the implant, as well as its precise placement.

In some cases, when necessary, preparatory procedures must be performed to improve anatomical conditions, such as raising the bottom of the maxillary sinus or augmentation of the alveolar bone or gum surgery. The patient is precisely informed of any situations of such kind.

Careful preparation allows for safe and trouble-free performance of the procedure and ensures a long- lasting and aesthetic effect.
